Not too long from now, a woman pilgrimages to her birthplace, a rural Brazilian village, for her grandmother’s funeral. As she reconnects with friends and family from her childhood, a series of unexplained, increasingly ominous events – the village’s sudden disappearance from digital maps, visits by surveillance drones, bullet holes in trucks – creates an atmosphere of unease within the community.
